I am working on a project with Common Cause Massachusetts to encourage municipalities in Massachusetts to post at least the essential public records online. We just finished reviewing the websites of every community that has one, and only 24 communities post 6 essential public records online.  Saugus is not yet one of these communities.  Hopefully, once the new town website is completed, it will be.   The project is called the Massachusetts Campaign for Open Government and its website is maopengov.org. Over the next few weeks, Common Cause will be issuing a more formal report and will be revamping the website.  As more  municipalities post public records online, we plan to acknowledge them.
