The land on 107 is a good idea but from a transportation standpoint and location it would be a challange on top of the price to purchase the land. In northwest Saugus we own a large lot of land already.

The senior citizen discount program is in place but in my opinion it helps too few due to restrictions and rules. It needs to be more broad.

It's the leadership of the House that won't move the 1% increase in the meals tax which would give Saugus an extra $750k-1,000m annually. We may need to seek a home rule petition which is not preferable but may be the only way to realize this revenue. As you know we send far more to the state in meals tax and lottery then we recieve while others towns get more then they send. This could be the justification for a home rule petition.
