We've been considering implementing logins for the Saugus forums, Saugus calendar, and various other online Saugus resources.  The big reason we're thinking of doing so is the amount of spam people attempt to post.   Everything here is moderated, so none of the spam actually gets through, but the moderators have to spend quite a bit of time rejecting spam that wouldn't be necessary if we required logins.

What are your thoughts?  Do you think a login system here would be a good thing or a bad thing?  If we do implement logins, we'd probably use something like OpenID that would allow you to use the same login across multiple sites.
