Subject: New Saugus book research From:tomfsheehan@comcast.net (Tom Sheehan) Newsgroups: saugus.soc.talk Organization: not organized Date: Aug 02 2005 09:15:07
In discussions about our new book on Saugus (see other messages within Forums sections), we were wondering who and where the last blacksmith was in Saugus. I have a vague notion of a blacksmith operating on Jackson Street, probably near where George's Barbershop is now located. Was there one in North Saugus that hung on longer? Also, who had the last horse-drawn service wagon? Was it Charlie Sellick? Goldberg's junk wagon? The last ice truck? Was it Tom Quinlan's? Sweeney's? Let us know. Any information would be appreciated.
